We are Bob Block's family and we wished to give more insight into the incredibly fertile mind of the creator of Rentaghost, one of the most popular children's TV shows of the 1980's, 

so wanted to put together some information about Bob and his work 

 that is not so commonly known.

​

Most people don't realise that Bob was also the creator and writer

of several other of the country's favourite children's programmes;  

Pardon My Genie, Robert's Robots, and Galloping Galaxies!

​

But he also wrote for other artists' shows such as Grandad with Clive Dunn (1979 - 1984),

Ken Dodd and the Diddymen (1969 - 1970)

and Life With the Lyons with Bebe and Ben Lyons in the 1950's and 1960's.

​

He was also a prolific contributor of sketches to many other shows including Crackerjack,

Dave Allen at Large and Frost Over England with David Frost.

​
